First
introduced in 2000, nearly 300,000 CompM2 sights are now in use by many
Armed Forces including elite Special Forces around the world. The
CompM2, also known as the M68/CCO (when used by US forces), is the
standard sight for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force as well as the armed
forces of many NATO countries. Due to its compatibility with all
generations of night vision device (NVD), the CompM2 is ready for use
around the clock. The CompM2 holds up under the roughest physical
handling and can withstand the most severe weather conditions and
temperatures. In fact, the CompM2 is completely submersible and will
withstand pressures up to 2,5 atmospheres allowing it to be taken up to
25 meters underwater. When the CompM2 was released, it became the
benchmark against which all other combat optics are measured. While
primary utilized by armed forces, hunters and sport shooters who want a
professional grade sight can also use the CompM2.
The successful CompM2 &
CompML2 family of red dot sights and mounting
systems for small caliber firearms such as pistols submachine guns and
assault rifles have set a new standard for advanced sighting systems.
Specially modified variants of the CompC designed to meet military
requirements; these sights are used by many armies and Special Forces
around the world.
This sight has a special hard-anodized surface and the specification for
water tightness is equivalent to a depth of 75 feet. The high quality
requirements are designed to cope with frequent professional use on
those types of guns that are typically used by the police and the
military or for hunting under extreme conditions.
The CompM2 is compatible with
Night Vision Devices
(NVD) but is otherwise identical in construction to the
CompML2.
*There is no “off” position necessary on the CompM2 as the battery life at the lowest setting is more than 10 years.
Aimpoint red dot sights are manufactured with the greatest care and
precision from the best materials and components available. They are
designed for use in the real world, and can handle rough treatment and
all imaginable weather conditions. With the variety of models available,
there is an Aimpoint sight for virtually every type of firearm.
For a sight and a gun to function as a reliable unit year after year, it
is important that the mounting is done professionally and the mounting
rings and bases are of high quality. An important detail that is often
overlooked is the fact that the mounts and rings must be precisely
aligned for best performance with any optical sight. The new generation
of Aimpoint sights incorporates a very generous range of adjustment,
which allows the user to compensate for any misalignment between the
barrel, action and mounting hardware.

The 3X Magnifying module is specially
designed for compatibility with Aimpoint® sights and for maximum
flexibility and increased performance in the field. The 3X Mag is a
revolutionary tool for military personnel, law enforcement, sport
shooters and hunters. When combined with Aimpoint’s patented Twist
Mount, the 3X Mag gives the user something never before possible – the
ability to switch in a split second from CQB (Close Quarters Battle) to
semi-sniping and vice versa. Hunters can rapidly switch from
non-magnifying to magnifying while still being able to keep their
Aimpoint® sight on their firearm. The versatile 3X Mag also can be used
as a handheld magnifying glass monocular for discrete observation and
identification.
